This service involves measuring the pelvic area of heifers by taking readings of the internal
height and width of the pelvis. This information is converted into a score, that provides a guide to calving difficulty. Small or abnormally shaped pelvises can be identified prior to breeding, allowing a more informed decision about a heifer’s future within the herd. Breeding organs can also assessed and animals unsuitable for breeding can be identified.
